The Soil Is the Key

Because our trees and shrubs grow in normal, dense soils, once planted they don't show the tendency to stay within the bounds of the more porous root ball which plants grown in highly organic or sandy soils do. Because our trees are used to gaining nutrients from the soil, they haven't become overly dependent on chemical fertilizers. These methods make our stock highly adaptable to the variety of conditions they will encounter when planted in the landscape.
In addition, clay loam soil gives us the ability to dig our nursery stock with solid root balls that will withstand the rigors of transportation and handling with less chance of damage to the root system.
